WAT WAT is an information platform for young people aged 11 to 24, designed to support them with questions and first experiences in their lives.
The platform brings together content from more than 100 expert organisations, translating complex topics into accessible and understandable information for a young audience.
The core challenge was to strengthen WAT WAT as a central, trusted reference point:
How do you structure a wide range of topics in a way that feels clear and engaging?
How do you align with the behaviour and expectations of young users?
How do you balance informative content with guidance towards help and support?
At the same time, the platform needed to evolve from a traditional information website into a more interactive and experience-driven environment.
We started from a simple principle: information should not only be correct, it should also be found, understood and felt.
We translated this into three strategic pillars:
1. Accessibility and clarity
We turned complex topics into clear, scannable content tailored to the language and mindset of young people.
2. Navigation based on behaviour
Instead of relying purely on hierarchical structures, we introduced thematic entry points, recognisable situations and contextual linking between content.
3. From information to action
We focused on helping users take the next step:
clear call to actions
integration of helporganisations & helplines
content that encourages further exploration
The result is a platform that not only informs, but actively guides its users.
A digital platform that supports young people at meaningful moments.
Broad thematic coverage: From mental wellbeing to relationships, school and identity, all key topics are brought together in one place.
Trusted and validated content: Information is created by experts and follows recognised quality standards.
Strong pathways to support: Users can quickly find relevant organisations and helplines when needed.
One coherent brand experience: WAT WAT acts as a unifying layer, bringing together fragmented information into a consistent and recognisable platform.
WAT WAT has become a key reference within the youth landscape.
The platform:
supports young people in important life moments
lowers the threshold to seek help
strengthens collaboration between a wide network of organisations
By making information not just available, but relevant and accessible, WAT WAT plays a meaningful role in everyday decision-making for young people.
