Accessibility statement

At Wieni, we believe the web is a gift, and we treat it as such. That means building a website everyone can use, whatever their abilities or the technology they rely on. We are committed to making wieni.com a welcoming and inclusive experience for every visitor.

Approach

We test wieni.com regularly to find and fix accessibility issues, including testing with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. Our team is trained in web accessibility, so that accessible thinking is part of how we design, build and write content from the start, rather than something we add on afterwards.

In April and May 2026 we had wieni.com independently audited against the European standard EN 301 549, which covers the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA. The findings from that audit inform this statement and guide our ongoing improvements.

Status

Wieni.com is partially compliant with the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 level AA. Most criteria pass, and we are actively working through the remaining issues.

Known issues

The audit surfaced a number of issues that we are addressing in upcoming updates. The ones most relevant to visitors are:

  • The keyboard focus indicator is not always clearly visible on interactive elements, which makes it harder to follow where you are when navigating by keyboard. Failing WCAG criterion 2.4.7 Focus Visible.

  • Some dynamic status messages are not announced by screen readers. Failing WCAG criterion 4.1.3 Status Messages.

  • A few form fields lack clear labels or instructions. Failing WCAG criterion 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions.

  • Some text and interface elements fall below the minimum colour contrast ratio. Failing WCAG criteria 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) and 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast.

  • There is no site search or a sitemap that lists all pages yet. Failing WCAG criterion 2.4.5 Multiple Ways.

We will address all known issues that are within our control in future updates.
