De Ambrassade’s new website empowers youth engagement and volunteers with a new digital and rebranded platform.
Visit ambrassade.beWieni partnered with De Ambrassade to redesign and rebuild their digital platform using DatoCMS and Next.js. The project introduced a renewed visual identity, migrated key theme-related content and assets, and equipped the editorial team with flexible tools to manage and structure content independently.
A future phase will include integrations with Microsoft Dynamics for event registrations.
De Ambrassade is Flanders’ centre of expertise for youth work. The organisation supports young people, youth associations, and local governments by providing information, coordination, and advocacy. It serves as a central hub for youth engagement in Flanders, facilitating initiatives, organising events, and strengthening the youth sector as a whole.
De Ambrassade needed more than a visual redesign. The goal was to create a sustainable and scalable platform that empowered editors, streamlined content management, and aligned with the organisation’s evolving communication needs.
Wieni guided the project from strategy and information architecture to design, frontend and backend development, hosting, and long-term support. The result is a robust, modular website built on modern technology, optimised for performance, accessibility, and editorial control.
Using DatoCMS, we restructured De Ambrassade’s content model into a flexible, block-based system. Editors can now compose pages using modular components, such as text, visuals, quotes, and teasers, without technical support. This structure allows them to focus on clear, engaging communication while maintaining consistency across the site.
The website is built with Next.js, ensuring fast loading times, SEO-friendly pages, and scalable infrastructure. Incremental static regeneration keeps content fresh, while server-side rendering guarantees reliability across all devices and network conditions.
We translated De Ambrassade’s visual identity into a comprehensive digital style guide. It defines accessible color palettes, responsive grid systems, and modern web typography, ensuring visual consistency and recognisability across all digital touchpoints.
In a next phase, Wieni is connecting DatoCMS with Microsoft Dynamics to synchronise event data and registrations automatically. This integration will enable visitors to register directly on the website, with all submissions flowing into the organisation’s CRM.
We migrated all theme-related content and assets into the new CMS, ensuring a clean editorial structure and preserving SEO value. This focused approach provides full control over migrated content and lays the groundwork for expanding to additional types such as events and news in the future.
Empowered editors: a flexible and intuitive CMS that gives full control over layout and structure.
Consistent brand experience: a digital translation of De Ambrassade’s identity across all pages and components.
Modern architecture: an API-first setup, ready for future extensions and integrations.
De Ambrassade now has a fast, reliable, and scalable website that supports its mission to inform, connect, and inspire young people across Flanders.
