I am a serverless developer certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a certified professional, I optimize serverless systems to be highly efficient, scalable, and cost-effective.
Serverless technology gives you superpowers. Without too much fuss, you can construct a highly scalable solution that would otherwise require a team of specialists to develop and maintain. In the summer of 2017, I discovered the book "Serverless Architectures on AWS". I was completely sold out! Later that year, I quit the job I had for many years, crashed my piggy bank, and used the money to fund my serverless career. Wieni is a strong proponent of serverless technology, so when I saw a job posting for their company, it was an easy decision to apply.
The tendency of Wieni is to make everything as smooth as possible. There is just enough bureaucracy that anyone knows what to do. There are meetings, but not too many, and they are short. We use an agile development process but adapted to our needs. Projects are well documented, so it is easy to get onboarded. The work atmosphere is relaxed, making it a comfortable and productive place to be.
A few years ago, remote work was more of an exception. Now everyone in IT works remotely, at least part-time. Because the company culture at Wieni is very inclusive and friendly, I feel very connected to the rest of the team. We utilize an agile development process tailored to our specific needs, ensuring that projects are well-documented and easily understood by new team members. The work environment is relaxed, creating a pleasant and productive atmosphere.
